College Ministry at University Hills Baptist Church

A place to belong, grow, and live out your faith during your college years.

you don't have to navigate college alone

College is an exciting and challenging season — your major, your friendships, your future, your schedule. It's easy to feel like you're figuring it all out on your own.

You don't have to. At University Hills, we want to walk with you through this season. The Hill exists to help students know Jesus, grow in their faith, and find a church family where they can belong — whether you're exploring who Jesus is, returning to faith, or wanting to go deeper. We'll meet you where you are.

a week at the hill

Teaching and discussion as we walk through the Gospel of John this year, answering the biggest question there is: "Who Is Jesus?"
Worship with the whole church family.

why a local church matters

Campus ministries are wonderful partners, but they are not the church. A local church provides something unique that students deeply need. At UHBC, you'll find:

  • Sound biblical teaching
  • A multi-generational church family
  • People who will invest in you and walk with you
  • Opportunities to serve and use your gifts
  • A place to belong and grow

Grow

Students grow at The Hill by being part of the body of Christ, joining a Connect Group, and learning how to read, pray, and study God's Word. Growth happens in community, and there's a place for you here.

Serve

Students are encouraged to serve throughout UHBC — children's ministry, worship, tech, security, and outreach. Serving helps you grow spiritually and connects you with the wider church family.

meet paul & katie

We're deeply grateful for our church and college ministry that shaped our lives when we were students at Western Kentucky University, and we carry those years with us as a gift from the Lord. Now, as a family with four kids, Katie serving as a stay-at-home homeschool mom and Paul working as an analytics executive, we're excited to pour back into college students and help create the same kind of Christ-centered community that helped us grow in our walks with the Lord.

Our home has always been a place of conversation, hospitality, and gospel encouragement, and we want students to experience that same welcome and belonging. We'd love to meet you, hear your story, help you get connected during your college years to the church body, and help you grow in your relationship with Jesus.

a note for parents

We know that sending a student to college can be both exciting and overwhelming. Our goal is to provide a safe, biblical, and welcoming environment where your student can grow spiritually, build healthy relationships, and be part of a church family that cares for them. We take discipleship seriously and want to partner with you as your student navigates this important season of life.
